A Japanese zen garden is a miniaturized landscape recreated by arrangements of rocks. in these dry landscapes garden, sand or gravel replaces water and is carefully raked to represent the ripples or the current of water.
The gardens originated in Buddhist temples. Rather than intending to replicate the appearance of nature, in fact, they aim to imitate its very essence and help the viewer meditate on the true meaning of life.
